Shorter radiation may ease cervical cancer treatment in uganda
NCT ID NCT07276360
First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a shorter, higher-dose radiation schedule (hypofractionated) is as safe and effective as the standard longer schedule for women with locally advanced cervical cancer. About 278 women in Uganda will receive either the shorter or standard radiation, plus chemotherapy and internal radiation. The goal is to see if the shorter course reduces side effects and treatment time while still controlling the cancer.
