NCT ID NCT02783690
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether a shorter course of proton therapy (15 sessions) is as safe as the standard longer course (25 sessions) for women who had a mastectomy for breast cancer and need radiation to nearby lymph nodes. 88 women participated. The goal was to see if the shorter schedule caused fewer serious side effects or complications. Results help doctors understand if a shorter treatment can be a good option.
