Shockwave therapy eases carpal tunnel pain in female therapists

NCT ID NCT06214286

First seen May 23, 2026 ยท Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether adding shockwave therapy to standard treatment (kinesio taping) helps relieve carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms in female physical therapists. 100 women with mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome took part. The goal was to reduce pain and numbness and improve hand function. Results suggest the combination may offer better and longer-lasting relief than standard care alone.
