First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) to standard physiotherapy improves pain, shoulder function, and sleep in people with shoulder impingement syndrome. Thirty adults were split into two groups: one received ESWT plus physiotherapy, the other only physiotherapy. Researchers measured pain, range of motion, and sleep quality before and after three weeks of treatment.
