Shock wave showdown: how many sessions to soothe heel pain?

NCT ID NCT07626723

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether having more sessions of shock wave therapy (ESWT) helps people with long-term heel pain (plantar fasciitis) feel better and move easier. About 57 adults with pain lasting at least 3 months will be split into groups getting different numbers of ESWT sessions. Researchers will measure pain, foot function, and quality of life to find the best treatment plan.
