New hope for IBD patients: switching to guselkumab after ustekinumab fails
NCT ID NCT07245394
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether switching to a drug called guselkumab (Tremfya) can help people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who did not get enough relief from ustekinumab. About 200 adults across Canada will take guselkumab for one year, and doctors will track their symptoms and test results. The goal is to see if this switch can bring better disease control without worsening bowel inflammation.
