NCT ID NCT05711186

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a structured shared decision-making process helps patients with severe aortic stenosis choose between two valve replacement options: TAVR (less invasive) and SAVR (surgery). 140 patients aged 70+ will be randomly assigned to either the structured approach or usual care. The goal is to see if the structured approach reduces confusion and regret about their treatment choice.
