Summary

This study tests a new type of talk therapy that focuses on shame, a key emotion linked to suicidal thoughts and actions. About 42 teens aged 13-18 who are in the hospital for suicide risk will get either this shame-focused therapy or standard support. The goal is to see if the therapy is practical and helps reduce shame and suicide risk over time.
