NCT ID NCT07397858
First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at how a person's beliefs about a treatment can change their mood, motivation, and reactions to rewards—even when the treatment is fake. Healthy volunteers aged 15-25 will receive a sham (placebo) version of accelerated transcranial magnetic stimulation, meaning no active brain stimulation is given. Researchers will track changes in expectations, mood, and reward sensitivity over five weeks to understand the placebo effect better.
