NCT ID NCT07397858

First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how a person's beliefs about a treatment can change their mood, motivation, and reactions to rewards. Healthy volunteers aged 15-25 will receive a sham (fake) version of a brain stimulation treatment called accelerated TMS, which delivers no active stimulation. The goal is to understand if expectations alone can influence feelings and behavior, and whether the schedule of sessions makes a difference. Participants will complete MRI scans, questionnaires, and follow-up assessments over 5 weeks.
