First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether canagliflozin, a diabetes drug, can reduce dangerous brain swelling and bleeding in people who have had a severe stroke and are getting emergency treatment to reopen blocked arteries. About 150 adults will receive either the drug for 14 days or standard care alone. The goal is to see if this medicine can improve recovery and lower the risk of complications after stroke treatment.
