Summary

This study tested whether a shortened FIFA 11+ warm-up program and female-specific soccer cleats change movement patterns linked to injury during cutting (sudden direction changes). Sixty-four healthy youth soccer players aged 13-17 took part. The warm-up part compared the FIFA 11+ program to a standard warm-up over 3 months. The footwear part compared female-specific cleats to unisex cleats in female players. The goal is to find ways to reduce common soccer injuries.
