New balloon treatment aims to unclog heart arteries without long-term drugs

Summary
This study looks at a special balloon coated with a drug (sirolimus) that is inflated inside blocked heart arteries to open them and prevent reclogging. About 1,100 adults with various types of coronary artery disease will be treated and followed for up to 3 years. The goal is to see if this balloon is safe and effective in everyday medical practice.
