Do Life-Saving shock drugs harm tiny blood vessels? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07312071

Summary

This study looked at how high doses of a common medication (norepinephrine) used to treat septic shock affect the body's smallest blood vessels. Researchers monitored 30 critically ill patients to see if changes in these tiny vessels were linked to survival after 28 days. The goal was to gather information to help doctors better balance treatment for blood pressure and tissue health.
