First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study aims to find new markers that could help predict whether sepsis will progress to the more dangerous septic shock. Researchers will compare epigenetic markers in 25 male patients, aged 45-75, who develop sepsis after major cancer surgery. The goal is to identify differences between those whose condition worsens and those who recover, without offering any direct treatment.
