Summary

This study will compare three computer programs that try to predict sepsis, a life-threatening reaction to infection, in 1,200 adults coming to the emergency room. The programs will run silently in the background of the hospital's computer system, and doctors will not see their predictions. The goal is to find which algorithm works best so it can be used in the future to speed up treatment.
