Race against time: new 60-Minute protocol aims to save more sepsis patients

NCT ID NCT07460024

Summary

This project tests whether using a standardized 1-hour checklist for treating sepsis can save more lives. It will compare outcomes for about 120 patients treated before and after the new protocol is introduced at a hospital's emergency and intensive care units. The goal is to get more patients all their critical treatments—like fluids and antibiotics—within the first hour to improve survival and shorten hospital stays.
