Massive data dive seeks clues in sepsis blood clot puzzle
NCT ID NCT06765681
Summary
This study aims to understand the relationship between sepsis (a life-threatening infection), dangerous blood clots (VTE), and a serious clotting disorder (DIC). Researchers will analyze the past medical records of 10,000 people who were in intensive care with sepsis and blood clots. The goal is to see if the clotting disorder (DIC) often occurs before the blood clots (VTE), which could help doctors improve prevention.
