Scientists map hidden patterns in deadly sepsis lung failure
NCT ID NCT07281911
Summary
This study aims to understand why patients with sepsis-related severe lung failure (ARDS) have such different outcomes despite similar appearances. Researchers will closely monitor 180 patients during their first 72 hours of treatment, collecting fluid samples from their lungs and blood while tracking breathing machine settings. The goal is to identify distinct patterns that could help doctors predict outcomes and develop more personalized treatments in the future.
