Summary
This study looked at whether the sentinel lymph node technique (a way to check if cancer has spread) works in women who have more than one tumor in the same breast (multifocal breast cancer). 216 women with early-stage, invasive breast cancer that had not spread to the lymph nodes took part. The main goal was to see how often doctors could find the sentinel node and how many nodes were removed.
