Summary
This study tests a program called Sense4Safety to help older adults with mild cognitive impairment reduce their risk of falling. Researchers will enroll 200 participants from senior living communities to see if the program improves mobility and reduces falls.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Sense4Safety fall prevention program (behavioral intervention with home assessment, education, exercise, and monitoring)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide an effective, scalable way to reduce falls and improve safety for older adults with mild cognitive impairment.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase study with 200 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The intervention relies on technology and coaching, which may not work for all individuals.
