Weight-Loss drug could be new weapon against skin disease

Summary
This study is testing if adding the drug semaglutide, which is used for diabetes and weight loss, to standard psoriasis skin cream can better control the skin disease. It will involve 62 adults with plaque psoriasis who are also overweight or have type 2 diabetes. Researchers will check if the combination improves skin symptoms, quality of life, and reduces body-wide inflammation over 12 weeks.
