Summary

This study is testing whether a weekly injection of semaglutide, a medication used for weight loss and diabetes, can reduce harmful fat buildup in people living with HIV. The trial involves 108 adults with HIV who have a specific fat redistribution condition. Researchers will measure changes in body fat, inflammation, and markers of heart disease risk over 32 weeks of treatment, followed by 24 weeks of observation.
