Summary

This early study tests whether semaglutide, a medication used for diabetes and weight loss, can help people who have had bariatric surgery and now struggle with alcohol use disorder. Ten adults will take semaglutide for three months and be followed for three more months to see if it reduces drinking and helps maintain weight loss. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and worth studying in larger trials.
