New drug combo tested for deadly brain cancer

NCT ID NCT04216329

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether adding an experimental drug called selinexor to standard radiation and chemotherapy is safe for people with newly diagnosed glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. Researchers want to find the highest dose of selinexor that patients can tolerate without severe side effects when combined with the usual treatments. The study involves a small group of adults who have not yet received chemotherapy or radiation for their cancer.
