Poke away jet lag: Self-Acupressure tested for student sleep woes
NCT ID NCT07410936
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether female health sciences students can improve their sleep patterns and reduce social jet lag by doing acupressure on themselves every day for 12 weeks. Half the participants will use real acupressure points, while the other half will use sham (fake) points, to see if there's a real benefit. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to help students sleep better.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
self-acupressure
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to improve sleep and reduce social jet lag in students.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial in a specific group (young female students). Results may not apply to others, and the sham control may not fully mask the intervention.
