Summary

This study tests a device called the Selective Cytopheretic Device (SCD) in 339 ICU patients with severe acute kidney injury who are already on continuous kidney replacement therapy. The device filters blood to reduce inflammation, and researchers want to see if it improves survival and reduces the need for long-term dialysis compared to standard care alone.
