New sedation drug tested for safer, smoother endoscopies

NCT ID NCT07269808

Summary

This study is testing whether a newer sedation drug called remimazolam works as well as the commonly used drug propofol for keeping patients comfortable during routine endoscopic procedures like colonoscopies. It will enroll 100 adults to see if the new drug is a practical option for doctors and patients. The main goal is to check if running this kind of comparison study in a real-world clinic setting is feasible.
