New nose scope could slash costs and wait times for GI checks

NCT ID NCT06200961

Summary

This study is testing a new, very thin endoscope that goes through the nose instead of the mouth and doesn't require sedation. It aims to see if this method is a good, cheaper, and faster way to check for stomach and esophagus problems in people enrolled in a weight management program. If successful, it could make these important tests safer and more accessible for patients who need them.
