Summary

This study tests whether combining two sedatives—dexmedetomidine and esketamine—can lower the chance of delirium (sudden confusion) in older patients recovering in the ICU after surgery. Delirium is common in the ICU and can lead to worse outcomes. The trial will include 100 patients aged 60 and older and monitor them for delirium, sleep quality, and pain for up to 7 days.
