First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study compares two types of physical therapy for children aged 6 to 10 with diplegic cerebral palsy: scooter board activities and core stability exercises. The goal is to see which better improves trunk control and balance. Forty children will participate, and their progress will be measured using standardized tests.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Scooter board activities and core stability exercises
What this could lead to
If this trial succeeds, it could show that scooter board activities are a more effective and engaging way to improve trunk control and balance in children with diplegic cerebral palsy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to all children with cerebral palsy. The interventions are physical therapy exercises, so benefits may be modest and require long-term practice.
