Schools test new approach to stop discipline problems and student depression

NCT ID NCT07264621

Summary

This study is testing whether two school-based programs can help 7th grade students by reducing disciplinary referrals, improving attendance, and lowering depression and anxiety. Researchers are combining a school-wide discipline reform program with an online family support program to see which combination works best. The trial involves 1,440 students across Oregon middle schools and will measure changes in behavior, school climate, and mental health over time.
