First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a group psychoeducation program for people with schizophrenia to help them manage relapse and improve functional recovery. Sixty participants will be split into two groups: one receives the program (four 60-minute sessions) and the other does not. Researchers will measure changes in the ability to recognize early warning signs of relapse and overall functioning.

What this could lead to

If successful, this program could provide a practical, low-cost tool to help people with schizophrenia recognize early warning signs of relapse and improve their daily functioning.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 60 participants, so results may not apply widely. The program is short (four sessions) and may not produce lasting benefits.
