Blood protein clues may unlock Schizophrenia's secrets
NCT ID NCT07434388
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study measured levels of two proteins, LRFN5 and OLFM4, in the blood of 60 people—some with schizophrenia during a severe episode and some healthy. Researchers wanted to see if these proteins are linked to symptoms and inflammation. The goal was to better understand the biology of schizophrenia, not to test a treatment.
