New radiation approach aims to protect scalp in brain tumor patients

Summary

This study tests a precise radiation therapy that targets brain tumors while sparing the scalp to reduce wound infections and other side effects. About 100 adults with newly diagnosed grade II to IV gliomas will receive this treatment. The goal is to see if this approach is safer and still effective at controlling the tumor.
