First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested adding a special type of radiation (SBRT) to standard targeted therapy pills for people with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer that has certain gene changes (EGFR, ALK, or ROS1). The goal was to see if this combination could delay the spread of cancer to new areas. The trial included 27 participants whose disease was stable or responding to their targeted medication. While not a cure, the approach aims to keep the cancer under better control for a longer time.
