NCT ID NCT07550582
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study is testing a new surgical technique for people with non-cancerous or early cancerous tumors at the spot where the esophagus meets the stomach. The approach combines two types of scopes (laparoscope and endoscope) with a step that reduces blood flow to the tumor area beforehand. The goal is to see if this method is safe and effective, and to gather data for future larger studies. About 40 adults aged 18 to 80 with tumors 1 to 5 cm in size will take part.
