First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new drug, saroglitazar magnesium, in 89 adults with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) who did not get enough benefit from or could not tolerate standard treatment (UDCA). The goal is to see if the drug can lower a key liver enzyme (alkaline phosphatase) to normal levels. Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo, and the study is not yet recruiting.
