First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This early study tests a new treatment for people with stage 4 solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard care. Patients receive an injection of tiny iron-oxide nanoparticles that travel to the tumor, then a magnetic field machine heats the particles to damage cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. The main goal is to check safety and find the best dose, with follow-up for up to 5 years.
