First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive heart valve (SAPIEN X4) for people with mitral valve disease who are too high-risk for open-heart surgery. About 125 participants with a failing artificial valve or a damaged natural valve will receive the new valve. The goal is to see if it is safe and effective at improving heart function and quality of life.
