Summary
This study tested the safety and effectiveness of a new, less invasive heart valve replacement procedure for Chinese patients with severe, symptomatic aortic valve narrowing. The procedure, called TAVI, was for patients considered too high-risk for traditional open-heart surgery. Researchers tracked outcomes like survival, stroke, and heart-related deaths in 58 participants.
