Deeper stroke Check-Ups could slash repeat attacks

NCT ID NCT07491744

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving stroke patients a more thorough exam—looking at hidden causes like artery stiffness, hidden heart issues, and leg circulation—can lower their chance of having another stroke or heart attack. About 600 people admitted to a Swedish hospital for a stroke or mini-stroke will get this extra testing and a personalized treatment plan. Their results will be compared to patients who received standard care to see if the extra effort makes a real difference.
