NCT ID NCT07491744

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving stroke patients a more thorough exam—looking at hidden causes like artery stiffness, 24-hour blood pressure, and leg circulation—can lower their chance of having another stroke or heart attack. About 600 people admitted to a Swedish hospital for stroke or TIA will receive this extra screening and a personalized treatment plan. Their outcomes will be compared to patients who received standard care, with follow-up through national registries for up to 10 years.
