NCT ID NCT06314620
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at two methods to prevent small chest tubes from getting blocked in patients with pleural effusion (fluid around the lungs). One method uses only saltwater flushes, the other adds a heparin lock. The goal is to see which keeps the tube working longer. About 40 adults in a hospital in Malaysia will take part.
