First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 07, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study compares catheter ablation (a procedure to fix irregular heartbeats) with standard medical care in 646 adults who have both atrial fibrillation and a recent brain bleed. The goal is to see if ablation reduces the risk of death, stroke, or blood clots. Participants must be between 14 days and 12 months after their brain bleed and have a high stroke risk score.
