Promising drug trodelvy tested as first defense against aggressive breast cancer

NCT ID NCT07299409

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This phase 2 trial is testing the drug sacituzumab govitecan (Trodelvy) as a first treatment for people with advanced triple-negative breast cancer who haven't had prior therapy for advanced disease. Researchers want to see if the drug can shrink tumors or slow the cancer's growth. The study will also compare how well the drug works in different genetic subtypes of the cancer. About 24 adults will take part, receiving the drug intravenously on days 1 and 8 of each 21-day cycle.
