Text messages boost brain therapy for stubborn depression?

NCT ID NCT05570344

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a text-message support program (Text4Support) to repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) helps people with treatment-resistant depression more than rTMS alone. About 200 adults who have not gotten better with at least two antidepressants will take part across four Canadian centers. The goal is to see if the combination improves mood and anxiety symptoms over six weeks of treatment and up to six months of follow-up.
