Zapping the brain to soothe aching knees and lift mood

NCT ID NCT06906939

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called rTMS can boost the benefits of Tai Chi for people with knee arthritis and depression. Researchers will compare two different rTMS stimulation patterns in 30 participants to see if the approach is safe, feasible, and helps reduce both pain and depressive symptoms. The goal is to gather pilot data to design larger future trials.
