First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests a specially adapted version of an adult PTSD treatment for children aged 6-14. The therapy uses games and child-friendly language to help kids safely replay and reduce fear from traumatic memories. Up to 40 children will attend six sessions with a trained specialist, and researchers will measure changes in PTSD symptoms and daily functioning. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, effective, and acceptable for children and their families.
