Summary

This study tests whether a vaccine against RSV (a common respiratory virus) can reduce moderate-to-severe COPD flare-ups in high-risk patients. Researchers will enroll 320 people with COPD who have had at least two flare-ups in the past year. Half will get the RSV vaccine plus standard care, and the other half will receive standard care alone. The goal is to see if the vaccine cuts flare-ups by at least 20% over one year.
