NCT ID NCT06438445
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether taking royal jelly supplements can reduce inflammation and slow cell aging in people with chronic kidney disease who are on hemodialysis. Thirty participants will take either royal jelly or a placebo daily for two months. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers related to inflammation and aging.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
royal jelly (dietary supplement)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple supplement to reduce inflammation and slow cell aging in kidney disease patients on dialysis.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-stage trial with only 30 participants. It tests biomarkers, not direct health outcomes, so even positive results may not translate to real benefits. Royal jelly can cause allergic reactions in some people.
